The exhibition, based on a private collection from New York, explores the unique visual idiom of the punk movement from the mid 1970s to the 1980s through the icons of its graphic universe: flyers, posters, albums, etc. Examining punk created by both professional and amateur designers, the visitor will get to take a closer look at the fashion, contemporary visual art, archival images, videos, and a participatory “concert hall” where they can DJ their own vinyl playlist.
Shown for the first time in Europe, the showing of PUNK GRAPHICS: Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die in Brussels will also take a closer look at the Belgian aspect of this creative movement.
