For almost 60 years, the VOCATIO Foundation has been encouraging passionate and committed young people between the ages of 18 and 30 to develop their vocation. Through financial support and guidance, VOCATIO enables them to realise their life project. In this way, the foundation contributes to the development of these young people while helping them to build the world of tomorrow.

VOCATIO offers 18 grants of €10,000 each year. The actions that can benefit from support are very varied: equipping themselves with professional equipment, following further training abroad, setting up a research project or starting up social entrepreneurship. Anything is possible! And this, in 6 disciplines: health, science and technology, human and social sciences, performing arts, plastic arts and handicrafts.

In addition to this financial boost, VOCATIO also offers support to its laureates: access to the network of laureates, wide visibility and training.

The grants are open to all young people regardless of origin, field of action or level of education. Atypical vocations are also encouraged!

Why donate?

Your donations will allow VOCATIO to further support its laureates, especially those who are impacted by the current crisis. Thanks to your support, VOCATIO will be able to offer an extra helping hand, whether financial (grants) or in kind (training, coaching, visibility), to young, passionate and engaged people who can really make a difference in tomorrow's society.

To donate, simply transfer the desired amount to the VOCATIO account: BE95 7330 3967 5858. Donations of 40 euros or more are tax deductible.

Many thanks in advance for your support!

About CAROUSEL Chamber Music Ensemble

The Brussels chamber music ensemble CAROUSEL gathers twelve outstanding young musicians around the award-winning Belgian clarinettist Annelien Van Wauwe. The musicians come from six European countries and are all sought-after chamber musicians and soloists.

The members of CAROUSEL have won prizes at renowned competitions such as the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, the Borletti Buitoni Trust Award, the International Tchaikovsky Competition, the USA International Harp Competition, the Opus Klassik Award, the Aeolous Competition Düsseldorf, the Bottessini Competition and the German Music Competition.

CAROUSEL Chamber Music Ensemble was founded in 2019 by Annelien Van Wauwe and violinist Samuel Nemtanu. The ensemble played its debut concert at Klara in the 'Singel' in Antwerp in 2020. CAROUSEL's first tour took place in autumn 2020 with concerts at the Concertgebouw Brugge and Festival 20/21 (Festival van Vlaanderen) in Leuven.

The ensemble is regularly involved in charity work, organising concerts and masterclasses in aid of organisations such as "Kom op Tegen Kanker" (Belgian Cancer Foundation).

During the Covid 19 pandemic, CAROUSEL organised a successful ‘corona-proof’ concert series in Leuven.

Supporting young talented musician is important to CAROUSEL. Every summer, the ensemble organises the international CAROUSEL Masterclasses in Kortrijk, Belgium with individual masterclasses, chamber music, chamber music jam sessions and workshops on yoga, bowspring yoga, mindfulness, meditation and non-violent communication.

The ensemble's approach is modern and creative, offering both traditional and contemporary repertoire. CAROUSEL works closely with contemporary composers and has had the privilege of premiering new music. The ensemble has commissioned compositions and arrangements and performed works by Wim Henderickx, Jelle Tassyns and Jeroen D'hoe, among others.

In the 2020-21 season, works by female composers Annelies Van Parys, (Belgium), Aftab Darvishi (Iran) and Calliope Tsoupaki (Greece), entitled 'They have waited long enough', were premiered during the Lunalia Festival van Vlaanderen - Mechelen.

CAROUSEL's programmes are flexible, varying from trio to octet and offering a broad repertoire.

The ensemble aims to bring its core philosophy of togetherness closer to its audience and to breaks down cultural barriers through the use of a universal language: that of music. CAROUSEL strives to create a close bond between its members and its audience and therefor organises 'Very Important Passenger' events.

CAROUSEL takes you on a lively, joyful, passionate and enthusiastic musical ride!
