Extra muros / The Heysel Plataeau – In the footsteps of the Expo of 1935 and 1958
In collaboration with Laeken Découverte/Laken Onthuld, this tour will show you the remains of the two World Fairs that took place at the Heysel. The Heysel Plateau is a fine example of the development of modern architecture in Brussels: from Palace 5 to the former Pavilion of the Kortrijk Tile Factory, via the Atomium, the experiments and dreams of modernity of the 20th century are displayed here in all their boldness.
