The Design Museum Brussels and the Musée d’Ixelless/Museum van Elsene embark on a rhythmic and spontaneous two-step with the exhibition Crush, which brings together pieces from the Plastic Design Collection and works of art from the Musée d’Ixelles/Museum van Elsene.
At the invitation of the Design Museum Brussels, the Musée d’Ixelles/Museum van Elsene is bringing out a selection of paintings, sculptures, photographs and other drawings from its reserves to create a special link with the Plastic Design Collection.
Visual games or ideas, formal intuitions, bursts of collective memory, the crushes propose a series of spontaneous associations between two creative fields. This creative and visually unexpected dialogue underlines the singularity and variety of both collections, which are revealed in a new light, without any modesty.
Through this audacious exhibition, the Musée d’Ixelles/Museum van Elsene and the Design Museum Brussels offer a relaxed look at creation that helps to break down the barriers between disciplines and audiences.
