The Atomium invites you to come and discover its "Atomium Jazz" concerts in the wonderful Ilya Prigogine room, a lateral sphere with an a breathtaking view of Brussels.
The concept was imagined by Julie Almau Gonzalez, the Atomium's general director, who wanted to highlight this iconic institution of the capital through an innovative artistic programming. To realize this project, she is collaborating with the Brussels saxophonist Thomas Champagne, curator of these events, who will be offering a series of concerts starting in June 2022.
To begin this cycle, they propose a tribute to Toots Thielemans, a legendary Belgian figure of jazz, who would have turned 100 years old this year. The next concerts are planned for the autumn and will feature other great names of Belgian jazz.
The concert will be preceded by the "Ket Talk" about Toots where several friends of Toots tell stories, anecdotes they lived with him: Henri Vandenberghe, Jempi Samyn, ...
As part of Toots 100 - Curated by Thomas Champagne
