Kaaitheater
Kaaitheater is a Brussels arts centre, presenting local and international performing arts productions: from the 1980s to the present, from repertoire to experimental, from small theatre to large. In a world of one-off hits, Kaaitheater offers artists long-term commitment. Social and ecological topics are a prominent element in its programme. Kaaitheater presents about 75 productions each season on two locations in the Brussels' canal zone: Kaaitheater and Kaaistudio's.
From summer 2022 on and for, in principle, two years, Kaaitheater (but not the Kaaistudio’s) will be undergoing renovation works and its activities will be partly hosted by other theatres in Brussels and the surrounding area: De Kriekelaar, KVS, CC de Factorij, CC Strombeek, Westrand, Bronks, Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, Atelier 210, Halles de Schaerbeek, Rosas Performance Space, Tour & Taxis, AB, Raffinerie Charleroi Danse, Théâtre Varia.

Charleroi danse / La Raffinerie

Les Brigittines is a welcoming venue to discover the new language of the stage, to immerse yourself into strong and peculiar universes and follow artists that tackle the present to reenchant reality. The programming is mostly turned to choreographic works that, in Brussels' strange and widely opened melting pot, are the signs of a free and stimulating inspiration.

Beursschouwburg
Apart from a pile of attractively stacked bricks in the heart of Brussels, the Beursschouwburg is, for the time being, principally an inspiring platform for between-the-arts. Here, artists reflect, show, scrap and start again in an ongoing dialogue with thinking and creative Brusseleers. The Beursschouwburg is a melting-pot and a thorn in the side, where art is served while it’s still hot. Where, now and again, artists rattle the programming. Where there’s more to life than art. Where performance, celebration, encounter and craziness all join in a merry dance.

KVS
KVS has hi-tech infrastructure at the beautifully restaured site on Lakensestraat/Rue de Laeken (the renovated auditorium called KVS_BOL, and the Top), and in the new building at Arduinkaai/Quai aux Pierres de Taille (the 'black box' ). KVS's programme is as diverse, colourful and exciting as Brussels itself with a variety of new KVS productions, revivals of past successes, local and international guest performances, theatre, dance, music, film, literature, stand-up comedy, debates, parties, etc.

Les Halles de Schaerbeek
Les Halles showcase their independence right in the heart of Brussels, the European capital, in a metal and glass structure dating back to 1901, which has been saved from destruction and wonderfully renovated. Its space is unrivalled and perfectly suited for celebrations, extraordinary projects, as well as both artistic and human adventures. Ever since their beginnings, Les Halles have captured and crystallised movements stemming right from the edges of art and society, in an unprecedented alliance of both learned and popular culture.
It is an ideal space to create new performative formats, going beyond the classic partition between creators and spectators. Unconcerned with the barriers separating disciplines, willing to shake up the norms, Les Halles resonate with a desire for participation and involvment, be it individually or collectively, thus characterising the digital age.
Open to contemporary hopes and upheavals spanning from the neighbourhood right out to the world at large, Les Halles keep on looking for what Europe, still on a quest for its own destiny, has to offer: exploration of new passions, reason seeking out adventure, the utmost freedom of style.

Le 140
Over the years, Le 140 has become the venue for an international line up of concerts, theatre and dance. Rebranded “Le 140”, a reflection of its multi-disciplinary programming, the formerThéatre 140 has continued the explorative process which the venue has been associated with since it opened.

Theatre la Balsamine
La Balsamine defends the need for Art for Art but wants to make it accessible to as many people as possible. It is a creative house that hosts and accompanies artists who are daily confronted with the need to question the meaning, the context in which they practice their art, the style they develop and the values they represent. Contemporary creation is a moving and perpetually questionable form that confronts the audience to its ability to create meaning and live his relationship with the world. It challenges us on our own creativity and our ability to express who we are. It questions norms, including those of taste.

Decoratelier
Decoratelier is an ongoing and constantly evolving project by set designer Jozef Wouters, who is artist-in-residence at Damaged Goods, the Brussels-based company of choreographer Meg Stuart. From a former factory located on Rue de Manchester 17/19 in Molenbeek, the artist builds on INFINI 1-15, the Decoratelier performance that saw him take over the main hall of the KVS during the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in 2016. Decoratelier Jozef Wouters operates as a workspace for artists, where there is room for scenographers and the public, as well as for interdisciplinary collaborations and social experiments.
"The Decoratelier is a space that welcomes the different forms of collaboration and endeavour that are inherent in my work. The space is put to the test, conversations take place in wood, iron and cardboard. It is a permanent place for building the ever-changing spaces in which art, thought and artisans meet." (Jozef Wouters)
