After relaxing over the holidays, are you itching to get back into your routine of exploring all things cultural? This year once again, autumn is bursting with new exhibitions to discover, days out not to be missed and irresistible events.

To make sure you don’t miss a thing, we’ve put six cultural trends for this autumn under the spotlight.

Whether you love pop culture, fashion, new exhibitions or the live arts,  drag yourself away from your screens and get ready to head out to the biggest events of the season!


Vibe:Can’t wait to be surrounded by a touch of opulence? Or do you dream of filling your wardrobe with the latest looks and adding a touch of glamour to your home? Brussels will be showing off the latest trends in design throughout September, with fashion taking the lead in October. Come and be inspired by a selection of local designers, visit markets to find vintage hidden gems, or visit stylish exhibitions to discover the history behind the Brussels fashion!

Vibe: After almost two years in lockdown, we’re willing to bet you can’t wait to get back out on the live arts scene! Excited to experience the curtain raising in theatres, the buzz at concerts or nights full of laughter at comedy clubs? Whether you enjoy contemporary dance, opera, thrilling concerts or stand-up sessions, the Brussels cultural scene is back on the stage!

Top spots: All venues large and small! Enjoy an evening of dance, theatre, comedy or concerts in any genre. The choice is yours!

Vibe: A wave of pop culture overwhelms our desire to go out in order to prolong the summer. We dream of colourful performances, humorous exhibitions, being immersed in the world of comic books, and even of meeting Louis de Funès! Whether you’re in geek or street mode, you can visit the hip galleries, enjoy some cosplay at Comic Con Brussels or take a look at some manga in the aisles of Made in Asia. Enjoy our must-see events throughout the autumn!

Vibe: Whether you need to see a dash of colour, photos, drawings or simply some new works of art, returning from the summer holidays gives us even more of an excuse to rediscover contemporary art! Brussels has a whole host of new exhibitions, artistic fairs and events in galleries and museums for fans of British artist David Hockney, British photographer Martin Parr, Belgian poet and artist Marcel Broodthaers and Italian artist Chiara Fumai. Vibe: Having travelled to all four corners of Europe, perhaps it’s time to enjoy the treasures the capital has to offer. Vibe: The Cannes Festival may be over, but you can still walk down the red carpet throughout the autumn!
