This duet of pianists is formed by María Concepción Rillo and Damián Balarino. Both are Argentinian musicians of the city of Lincoln, Buenos Aires Province, and professors at “Conservatorio Provincial Aldo Augusto Quadraccia”.
The repertoire of this group of musicians is framed in the academic and popular Argentine music (Tango, Nuevo Tango de Astor Piazzolla, Folclore). It comprises own arrangements in piano for four hands, and piano together with singing
In 2017 Dúo Pianíssimo recorded its first album: “Pensando” after being selected by the National Music Institute (INAMU) in its annual call of proposals. This work was presented at the European tour 2018 that included a presentation in this room.
During the 2019 tour the duo is presenting the repertoire that will be part of their second record production, and the most significant songs of "Pensando", for example "Libertango" by Astor Piazzolla.
The members of the duo have been declared cultural and educational ambassadors of the city of Lincoln during both European tours.
