Le Geste qui Sauve Liévine Hubert, actrice, multidisciplinair artieste Thibault Condy, lichtontwerper Clément Nourry, componist, gitaar
Theatrical gesture - Light - Music - Creation
ECHO is a hybrid performance combining gesture, lighting and sound from the collaboration between performer Liévine Hubert, light designer Thibault Condy and musician Clément Nourry. The piece is performed in different spaces which are not necessarily dedicated to performing arts. In each edition it changes faces; it may be recomposed or redeployed depending on the space in which it is being played.
The technique is simple yet produces spectacular effects. The light appears in the form of a large hanging bulb or projects old slides on a large translucent tarpaulin. Manipulated and sonorised, the materials invade the space and come alive.
The audience will have a visual and aural experience. Time for contemplation. Shadows and shapes stand out and blur away. A ghostly apparition, a dream. An allegory in a cave.
This performance is the result of a residency at Studio-Garden Verrewinkel, the old Strebelle house and workspace. It is an on-site work which has matured within the walls of the space where the performance will be carried out.
