Beja brings his limpid drawing to two great classics with new stories of Bécassine and the graphic novelizations of The Famous Five. Beja definitely belongs among the essential artists of the Clear Line!
Beja made a name for himself in the magazines (A Suivre) and Métal Hurlant by putting his subtle Clear Line to the service of Nataël’s novelistic narratives. Today, the French artist brings his limpid drawing to two great classics with new stories of Bécassine (written by Corbeyran, Ed. Gauthier-Languereau) and the graphic novelizations of The Famous Five (written by Nataël, from the novels by Enid Blyton, Ed Hachette). Beja definitely belongs among the essential artists of the Clear Line!
The exhibition will consist of the best original pages from the two albums of Bécassine and the three albums of The Famous Five, of which Le Club des Cinq contre-attaque has just appeared. In addition to this display on the walls of the Galerie Champaka, a virtual exhibition, composed of pages from the previous albums of the Beja-Nataël duo, will be available online. Among these assorted gems Les griffes du hasard, Nolimé Tangéré and Les compagnons du rêve.
