Founded in 2008, a year after Maurice Béjart’s death, this foundation is based in the famous choreographer’s former home in the centre of Brussels. It hosts exhibitions and encounters and can now offer the public access to programmes, posters and videos, relating to no fewer than 250 of his 370 works in a permanent exhibition. This unique space is split into 3 main sections: • Espace Maurice Béjart: a large, entirely renovated 17th century loft on the building's second floor, which houses the temporary exhibitions space and the documentation and archives centre, • The Maurice Béjart Studio, which houses a dance conservatory, • The Maison Béjart Library-Gallery on the ground floor, dedicated to welcoming of visitors, the sale of works and other documents about dance in general. It can also host exhibitions.
