AfricaMuseum in Tervuren is known as one of the most beautiful and impressive Africanist museums in the world. It was completely revamped and reopened its doors in December 2018. Its aim is to be a veritable window to the African continent. The museum immerses visitors in the continent’s incredibly diverse nature, cultural riches and creative cities. It shows visitors life as it is, presents the oldest and newest languages and musical traditions, and looks ahead at the prospect of creating a lasting relationship between Africa and Europe after the difficult colonial history that Belgium shares with Central Africa.
